Private Tutoring
One-on-one tutoring is a great option for those students who have specific questions or just need some more personalized instruction. Our tutors can meet with you at your home or in our office. The agenda of each tutoring session is driven the by the student’s needs and is fully customizable. The more the student and tutor work together, the more efficient these sessions become.
Group Tutoring
Group tutoring allows for multiple students to meet with one tutor together. This is ideal for students who work well with others and know of classmates who are of the same aptitude. In group tutoring sessions, all students are working on the same subject and the same assignment. Students benefit from peer perspective and social interaction. Group tutoring also helps reduce the cost of each session.

Online Tutoring
Online tutoring is another way for you to get the instruction you need, especially during COVID times. If you are unable to meet with us in person, we’ll set up a meeting on Zoom or Vision. Each tutor is equipped with a writing tablet so that they can write on the screen just like they could write on a whiteboard if meeting in person. Online tutoring can be a quick and convenient way for you to tackle any task at hand.
Homeschool Support
The homeschool movement is indeed on the rise. With affordable technology and access to various educational programs, parents are making the most of teaching their children at home. The flexibility of homeschooling gives families the luxury of traveling, focusing on specific content, and scheduling classes when convenient. Tahoe Tutoring can offer parents a break from their efforts. Send your child to our office for additional support or give us the reigns completely. As another option, if you’d prefer, we can come to your home to maintain a consistent home schooling atmosphere too.
Academic Assessments
We provide formal assessments of your child’s current abilities in math, ELA and reading. All assessments are completed online and analyzed by a Tahoe Tutoring staff member. Based on the results, we are happy to customize a plan to get your son or daughter up to grade level or beyond. Call for more information.
College Counseling
Parents often begin thinking about education even before their children are born! Thus, the college planning process is an important exercise to start talking about early in one’s high school career. Choosing the best college will not only make your time there more memorable, but ensure you get the most out of your education. Whether you are choosing a community college or have plans to attend an institution far away, you will need to prepare in many ways. Our college counselors at our sister company, Evolve Academics, will work with your family through every step. They can advise you on how to save for college and what new costs to expect. They can also help you through the application process which includes essay writing and interviews. Each student will create a personalized profile on CollegePlannerPro, software that streamlines your application process and helps you stay organized. No matter the stage, our counselors will pave a way to set you up for success.
